Educating & Encouraging

Exams! Please let us know if your child wants to take exams in dance, drama or music. For ballet they need to attend two classes a week to achieve a good exam pass, those who attend once a week may be given the choice of the alternative ‘Medal Tests’. We will not enter pupils for exams/medal test until they reach the required standard and the correct age. As a guideline the age for entry into a Primary exam is 6 years old or at the discretion of the teacher. For children with above average ability and the passion for dance we offer ‘Gifted and Talented’ classes on alternate Sundays. These classes are for 1¼ - 1½ hours and concentrate on technique, flexibility and strength.

As our aim is to educate and encourage our pupils we also arrange educational trips to see performances at The Royal Opera House, Saddlers Wells and other London Theatres. In addition we attend more local venues such as The Arts Theatre Cambridge and Theatre Royal Norwich.
