About Octagon Studios
Octagon Studios is Ely's Performing Arts Centre, founded in 1997. We have approximately 500 pupils of all ages, and provide top-quality training in the Performing Arts for all abilities and ambitions!
100% Success Rate
We have a full term–time programme and hold a four week Summer School during August plus various professional workshops during the year. At the centre we also teach GCSE Performing Arts Dance, GCSE Music and GCSE Drama with a 100% success rate and from September 2009 we will be teaching 'A' Level Dance.
We have a thriving music department and as well as singing lessons we offer tuition in piano, recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin, cello, guitar etc. Associated Board of the Royal School of Music exams are offered including the Music Medals Award Scheme for group tuition classes.
We offer 'outreach workshop projects' in dance, including GCSE and 'A' Level Dance and Drama plus peripatetic music lessons to local schools, colleges and community groups via our sister company Elysian Performance Group.
Octagon Studios is run by professionals who are highly qualified in their own right. All staff have up to date police checks and the Studios are fully insured and registered with DfEE. Our aim is to look to the future in the constantly changing world of performing arts and help you to achieve your ambitions and enjoy your classes.
